Where has the Autumn Gone?

October 13, 2026

We are halfway through October as I type this.

And it's still 80+ degrees outside.

Some of the trees are changing, sort of, but most everything is far more green than usual this time of year.

All around, it just doesn't feel much like fall.

I am thinking less about soup and cozy sweaters and more about shorts and cold cut picnic dinners.

And I can't quite shake the feeling that we're going to pay for it later.

But not as much later as we think.

of all the things they've tried to normalize the one they've tried hardest and longest with is our rising temps.  Normal cycles, scam, hoax, etc, any and everything to keep that oil money flowing, even now when it it be so much in our best interest in so many different ways to be less dependent on that good ol' black gold.

I am so tired of people being conned into going against themselves in order to benefit others. So tired of watching the greedy and the power hungry conspire to shield evil people from consequences while squeezing the rest of us dry.

And I think at this point I am far from the only one.

As I have mentioned before, the Fall is a time of change, and it happens much more quickly and dramatically than the gentle shift we see in the Spring.

The wheel is turning, not fast enough and maybe not far enough, but shifting nonetheless.

Here's to hoping it brings a good harvest as it comes.
